Here’s what I would say to Trump supporters.  I know that the vast majority of you don’t support this kind of thing.  I know that.  But, facts are facts.  This is happening.  It’s happening because the racists and white nationalists are coming out of the woodwork.  Stand up against it.  Vocally.  Put it on your Facebook page.  Condemn it!

Every time there is a terrorist attack perpetrated by a Muslim, there are outcries that the Muslim community should “police their own” and “keep their eyes open”.  There’s a feeling among some on the right that it’s all Muslims or that all Muslims are sympathetic to the terrorists.  This is, of course, ridiculous.  But, if that’s how you feel, then let’s turn it around.  You’re white and you’re Christian.  Fix this.  Police your own.  Stand up against the haters.  I’ve seen plenty of Trump supporters on Facebook that are happy their guy won and doing various forms of virtual celebration dances, and that’s perfectly fine.  Your guy won.  You have a right to be happy about it.  Show the rest of us though, how enlightened you really are.  Post a link to a hate crime article and condemn it.  You want to bring the country together?  Little things like that will help.
