House of the Holy

Did you happen to catch this story? You’re forgiven if you missed it.  Who the heck can keep up with the daily shit storm of um, shitty news that swirls around in Trumpland?  If only we could just flush him and all his sycophants down the toilet.

So The White House, perhaps the most important historical house in our country, is “a dump”.  Boy, this post is all about the poop, huh?  Well, Donny boy, feel free to get the heck out of office.  You’re a daily embarrassment to our country.

Here’s a pretty interesting site about The White House and the history involved.

I hope the next occupant has a greater appreciation for this historic house.

In the meantime, come at me Trump supporter.  Find a reason to support your guy when he calls The White House a dump.  For any other president, this would be front page news for a month.  For this guy, it’s 10am on a Tuesday.

  1. This speaks volumes…..
President Obama’s Letter Puts Trump To Shame After He Calls White House ‘A Dump’

President Trump has drawn a lot of media controversy for allegedly telling several of his Trump National Golf Club members that “the White House is a real dump.” He made the comments while trash talking on the golf course at his Bedminster, New Jersy course.

Since Trump made the statement, several people have called him out on it, including Chelsea Clinton who immediately took to Twitter to say “thank you to all the White House ushers, butlers, maids, chefs, florists, gardeners, plumbers, engineers & curators for all you do every day.”

“In the evening, when Michelle and the girls have gone to bed, I sometimes walk down the hall to a room Abraham Lincoln used as his office. It contains an original copy of the Gettysburg Address, written in Lincoln’s own hand.

I linger on these few words that have helped define our American experiment: a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

Through the lines of weariness ex-towed in his face, we knew Lincoln grasped, perhaps more than anyone, the burdens required to give these words meaning. He knew that even a self-evident truth was not self-executing; that blood drawn by the lash was an affront to our ideals, that blood drawn by the sword was in painful service to those same ideals.

He understood as well that our humble afford, our individual ambitions, are ultimately not what matter, rather, it is through the accompanied toil and sacrifice of ordinary men and women – those like the soldiers who consecrated that battlefield – that this country built, and freedom preserved. This quintessentially self-made man, fierce in his belief in honest work and the driving spirit at the heart of America, believed that it falls to each generation, collectively to share in that toil and sacrifice.

Through cold war and world war, through industrial revolutions and technological transformations, through movements for civil rights and women’s rights and worker’s rights and gay rights, we have. At times, social and economic change have shaped our union. But Lincoln’s words give us confidence that whatever trials await us, this nation and the freedoms we cherish can, and shall, prevail.”

We can tell you one thing, President Obama doesn’t think it’s ‘a dump’ and neither does America. Perhaps Trump should take a walk down its halls at night and do some serious thinking before he makes another outlandish statement like that. He’ll never know otherwise what he might find.
