Freedom of the Press

Remember the 1st Amendment?  It’s like the 2nd Amendment but one better!  With all of the terrible news in the past several days, I feel that one particular news story has been somewhat overlooked.  It’s a story about the news.  Or rather, about the Washington Post being able to report the news.

In case you somehow missed it, that great champion of American freedom, Donny Trump, revoked the press credentials from the Washington Post.

Is there anything more American than freedom of speech and freedom of the press?  I don’t think so.  This poor excuse for a presidential candidate continues to say and do things that go against everything our country is supposed to stand for.  You don’t like what a paper is reporting about you?  Gee, if only there were some way that you could get the word out to tell your side of the story.  Some website, maybe with an app, that you could use to communicate with the whole world for free.

Elizabeth Warren was absolutely correct. Donny boy is a  “a loud, nasty, thin-skinned fraud”.

Look, I get the people who are groaning about having Hillary Clinton in the White House.  I really do.  She has more than her share of baggage.  She ain’t trying to ban a religious group from entering the country though(un-American).  She isn’t banning press outlets from anything(un-American).

Harry Reid:

“It’s reprehensible and un-American for the nominee of any major party or any party to declare millions of Americans guilty until proven innocent based on their religion.”
This article from Vox says it all.

These are scary times when a piece of garbage like Donny boy can win a major party nomination.  Want a glimpse of what his presidency might be like?  Look at this news from potential Trump VP, Newt Gingrich.

Scary times, indeed.  Have you been intending to vote for Donny boy?  It’s not too late to change your mind.

Won’t you help to sing
These songs of freedom?
‘Cause all I ever have
Redemption songs
Redemption songs
Redemption songs
